Blanco Kitchen Remodeling: The Fresno Owner’s Guide
A full Blanco kitchen remodel in Fresno typically runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, and we stock or can source Blanco-compatible parts for every major component. Most homeowners call us after a Blanco faucet cartridge fails, a sink flange loosens, or cabinet hardware from an older Blanco line no longer matches what’s available at big-box stores. The remodel itself usually starts because the kitchen layout stopped working years ago, not because the Blanco products failed. Blanco builds good sinks and faucets. The problem is rarely the product. It’s the install, the integration, or a part that wore out after a decade of hard use.

We’re an independent Fresno remodeling contractor. We’re not affiliated with Blanco, and we’ll tell you straight when a Blanco part is worth keeping and when it’s cheaper to replace the fixture. That honesty is part of what Curtis Lane built Bradford Remodeling Co Fresno on: a written price before work starts, no surprises at the door, and a full-year guarantee on everything we touch.
Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco splits its kitchen line into three broad categories: sinks (the Silgranit composite series being the most common in Fresno homes), faucets (the Culina, Linus, and Solenta lines), and accessory components like soap dispensers, drain assemblies, and mounting hardware. The single biggest compatibility gotcha we see: Blanco Silgranit sinks use a specific strainer basket diameter, and the generic strainers at home centers don’t seat properly. You’ll get a slow drip at the drain flange within a month. The second gotcha is faucet cartridges. A Blanco Culina cartridge from 2015 is not the same as a 2020 cartridge, even if the faucet looks identical. You need the model number stamped on the faucet body under the handle, not the sticker on the box it came in years ago.
For OEM versus aftermarket: Blanco OEM cartridges and drain assemblies are worth the price. The tolerances are tighter, and the warranty follows the part. Aftermarket Silgranit repair kits exist, but they’re hit or miss on color matching. If your sink is white or anthracite, the color codes from a third-party kit rarely match after UV exposure in a Fresno kitchen with west-facing windows. We recommend OEM for anything visible or load-bearing. Aftermarket is fine for internal washers and gaskets.
We also work with KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinetry, plus Cambria and Silestone counters, so when we remodel around your Blanco fixtures, the integration points are measured correctly the first time.

Signs Your Blanco Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Faucet drips after the handle is closed. This is a worn cartridge seat. Blanco cartridges last 8 to 12 years in Fresno’s hard water, but mineral buildup can cut that to 5 or 6 years if you skip a water softener. The drip is the symptom; the fix is a cartridge swap, not tightening the handle harder.
- Sink flexes when you press down on the rim. This means the undermount anchors have pulled loose from the substrate. In Fresno homes with original plywood decks from the 1980s and 90s, this is common. Leaving it flexing cracks the sealant and lets water into the cabinet face frame.
- Drain flange leaks at the basket. The rubber gasket between the strainer body and the sink underside has compressed or split. Blanco’s gaskets are proprietary thickness. A generic gasket will leak again within weeks because it can’t sit flat against the Silgranit texture.
- Soap dispenser pump feels dead or won’t prime. The internal check valve is gummed up with dried soap. This one is usually repairable with a new pump assembly, which is a stock item for us. If the bottle threads are stripped, replace the whole dispenser.
- Counter seams are separating around the Blanco sink cutout. This is a countertop fabrication issue, not a Blanco product issue. Cambria and Silestone both require a minimum bridge width at the sink cutout. If a previous installer cut too narrow a deck, the seam opens up. We see this on rushed flips in the Tower District and older subdivisions off Blackstone.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

If the Blanco part itself is the only issue, a faucet cartridge replacement in Fresno runs $120 to $260 installed. A drain assembly swap runs $140 to $300. A complete sink replacement with undermount install runs $800 to $2,200 depending on whether you’re reusing the Silgranit sink or moving to a new one. But when the Blanco part failure is the tipping point for a full kitchen remodel, the real number is $14,000 to $45,000 in Fresno, and that range reflects scope: a cosmetic refresh with cabinet refacing and new counters sits at the low end, while a full gut to the studs with KraftMaid or Wellborn cabinets, Cambria or Silestone surfaces, and a reworked layout lands in the $30,000 to $45,000 zone.
Every quote from us includes parts and labor in one written number. You’ll see the line items: cabinet install, counter fabrication, sink and faucet integration, backsplash, electrical, plumbing rough-in, and disposal. No allowances that vaporize at the door. No “we’ll figure it out when we open the wall” pricing. Curtis Lane’s rule applies: The estimate says what we build, and we build what the estimate says.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely diagnose a few things yourself. Check if the faucet cartridge brand marking is visible. Check if the drain gasket is stiff or cracked. Check if the sink rim moves. But swapping a Blanco cartridge without the right extraction collar can score the faucet body and void the warranty. Dropping an undermount sink to replace a gasket means supporting 50 to 80 pounds of Silgranit while you reseal, and if the substrate is rotted, you’re now into structural work. That’s not a weekend project. That’s how kitchens end up with a tarp over the sink for three weeks.

FAQs

Blanco Silgranit sinks routinely last 20 to 25 years, but the faucet cartridges and drain gaskets are wear items that typically need replacement at the 8 to 12 year mark, sooner if your home has hard water without a softener. Call (559) 785-2712 and we’ll tell you honestly whether your Blanco part is worth repairing or if the fixture has hit the end of its service life.
Faucet cartridges, soap pump assemblies, and drain gaskets are repairable with OEM parts and don’t require a new faucet or sink. If the sink surface itself is cracked, or the faucet body is scored from hard water corrosion, replacement is the better line item. A written estimate will show you both options side by side, so you decide with real numbers in front of you.
A cartridge, gasket, or soap dispenser swap takes under two hours on site. A full sink replacement with undermount install takes one day. A complete kitchen remodel around your Blanco fixtures takes three to eight weeks depending on scope, and the schedule is written into your contract before we start.
Our Fresno crews carry common Blanco cartridge types, drain gaskets, strainer assemblies, and soap pump kits on the service truck, and we can order model-specific OEM parts for next-day pickup in most cases. If it’s a discontinued Blanco line, we’ll tell you that in the first phone call, not after we’ve opened your wall. Call (559) 785-2712 for a straight answer.
